This journey that began last summer has been incredible. I have enjoyed meeting so many people and hearing their stories, thoughts and concerns. There have been some amazing memories along the way and, although it has been grueling at times, I am grateful for the experience. I have personally knocked on 3,273 doors and have worn out a pair of shoes in the process!

All along I have been supported by some amazing volunteers and many many dear friends who have helped and are still giving of their time to support my campaign. I have discovered that I am blessed with ALOT of loyal and dear friends, and I have learned that I have more friends than I realized. To everyone who has helped in any way, please accept my sincere “thank you”. I am thankful for each one of you and appreciate your support. The countless texts, private messages and Facebook posts have been so encouraging and timely.

I also want to thank Carol for her patience, understanding and constant support. And Jake, John, Nick and Jenny have been real troopers throughout this entire process. I could not have undertaken this effort without their unconditional love and support. I also appreciate the hard work of my parents and in-laws. They, too, have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

My dad is from Mississippi and he would say that “the hay is in the barn”. It is now up to the people to decide. Please make sure to exercise your right and vote tomorrow and please encourage others to do the same.

It would be a privilege and an honor to serve the people of District 44. Whatever the outcome, my faith and hope is not in things of this earth. As the campaign ends, I am claiming Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Thank you again for your prayers, support and encouragement. See you at the polls!

Danny
